Lingerie Care Instructions

Our Lingerie pieces are unique. They are a delicate satin. Since these are hand-made pieces, precautions in manufacturing started with manicures for employees. They then wore felt gloves. Also, rough surfaces were buffed and polished.
ย
Such fabrics can be picky โ€“ literally. To keep these small, distracting picks to a minimum, use extra care in lingerie handling. That includes keeping your fabrics away from rough surface or anything that might have rough edges.
ย
Given all the extra care that went into the snag-free manufacturing of our lingerie, weโ€™re sure youโ€™ll be happy to take some extra time in caring for these unique sets.

HAND WASH CARE INSTRUCTIONS
  • Separateย your lingerie into like colors. With dyed fabrics it is common to see coloration of the wash water.
  • Fillย ย a sink or a smooth dishwashing container with lukewarm water.
  • Addย a mild detergent formulated for delicate fabrics. Woolliteยฎ is a decent brand. The Internet is also full of lingerie-specific detergents. One site weโ€™ve found to be useful for the care of fabrics is: www.thelaundress.com
  • Swirlย and massage the fabrics. Pay attention to soiled areas, such as bands and gussets.
  • Soak for at least an hour.
  • Rinse in cold water, gently turning and squeezing the fabric until suds disappear.
  • Squeeze out excess water. Donโ€™t wring fabrics. Use a towel to remove additional water.
  • Lay flat on a dry towel, atop a drying rack.
The more attention you give to caring for your lingerie, the longer it will last.
